Chief Revenue Officer
Sabastian was born in Bali, Indonesia and moved to the US at the age of 18, where he began his culinary journey. He worked his way up the restaurant industry from a humble start as a dishwasher to becoming a chef and now a successful restaurateur. He owns, operates, and consults on multiple food and beverage companies and initiatives.
Sabastian's career took a significant leap forward when he gained experience at a Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles, Mori Sushi. Building on this foundation, Sabastian opened his first restaurant, Ramen Nagomi, which quickly set a new benchmark for quality and innovation in Japanese dining.
Following the success of Ramen Nagomi, he launched IKI Ramen and IKI Nori in Los Angeles, both of which were featured in publications such as The Los Angeles Times, Forbes Magazine, and Food & Wine Magazine. At present, he oversees a dozen restaurants across the US.
Together with co-founders Andrew and Michael, Sabastian uses his deep industry knowledge to guide ChompChat's development of digital solutions that cater specifically to restaurateurs. His blend of operational prowess and strategic sales acumen ensures that ChompChat's offerings meet market needs and foster strong connections with its restaurant partners.
